AN ACCIDENT OR A WAKE UP CALL

So there I was driving after being at a house warming. While there testifying and sharing God's love and miracles.

On the way home something happened that I never expected. I lost control over the car and ended up in a ditch braking one of my ribs.

I never understood why it happened until a while after. I felt Jesus was trying to call out to me. To tell me there are things in my life I should very urgently change. I knew what it was.

And only earlier the week my girlfriend's brother past away. The topic of his funeral service was, that we are here to serve other people. That all ready got me thinking...

On the way back from Cape Town to Hermanus me and Natanja was driving on the R43 as we passed Hawston a old Merc suddenly just slam the breaks in front of us and just missed us. We were driving her boss' Golf. Later that same night I took the Chana bakkie to go to the Total garage to get smokes, as I came out of the Total garage on the road that joins up to the main road as a T junction a car turned left but in the one way lane almost hitting me and I tried to use the horn, but it has been broken for a while.

I prayed and thanked God that he protected me and said to Him, I would have to tell my boss that we get the horn fixed.

So one night after gym and Panaroties I was ministering to a friend of mine and while listening to the friend the whole I was leaning on the steering wheel. Later at the end of the discussion all of the sudden there was a load hooting sound and the horn was working again. I started laughing and prayed to God thanking Him.

This all happened before the accident though and funny thing is there was not car in front of me or any reason why I should have used the hooter. And now the hooter is broken again.

So now you ask me what is the whole point to this story...

Well as I see it God told showed me how powerful He is and how quickly He can take something away, and that you must remember everything you are and have is by His grace.

Working Hard For Who and for What?

Why do you work? For survival and for money to survive? For building a family and to live a good life and make the best future for your children.

These are all good reasons to work. But what does God say?

Exodus 20:9 NKJV
(9)  Six days you shall labour and do all your work,

God says from the beginning that we shall work and do our labour and yes on the seventh day we must rest.

If you find yourself working hard everyday and it feels as if you are not getting any recognition or reward for your work, you have the wrong attitude towards the whole idea of working.

We do our work for God to praise him and not to please men.

Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV
(23)  And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
(24)  knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

There for I say even if you might have a unfair boss or you think no one is seeing you or you just a slave. Know that you doing it for Jesus Christ our Lord and He will reward you in His way and His time.

By being patient and keeping on pushing on your actions will prove that you have fruit of The Spirit.

Proverbs 22:29 NKJV
(29)  Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.

Take these words and make it your own and share God's love and remember the money you make is not there for selfish purposes but to help others.

God bless,

Failure Or Opportunity

Is failing at a task really failure or an opportunity?

People would say now; hey um Dewaldt are you ok? Failing is failing my friend what u going on about an opportunity?

Well let me put it this way for you, I wrote my motorcycle learners exam today and I did not pass, after I studied so long and hard from salearners.co.za, only to find afterwards and during the exam they did not have all the roadmarking signs under the theory link.

So now how do I react? All upset en disturbed and negative and saying to myself I have failed? No I do not, I say I did not pass today but here is a perfect opportunity for Jesus to intervene and take this whole situation and turn it into something victorious.

God knows why I did not pass and so what if I didn't.

(Romans 8:28 NKJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

All things work for good, does not mean happy ending, God know what He is doing and this is where trust comes in. Paul rejoiced even while he was in jail and he did not let his circumstances get him down, cause he knew as do I that nothing can capture my spirit from being free through the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord.

So here is an opportunity for God to turn the whole thing around let me write again and people looking at me and seeing that my actions stay positive and full of happiness are asking themselves why is this guy happy, and there is the perfect opportunity for God to get all glory again by my testimony through my actions and words just praising God even in moment of not failure but opportunity for His working grace and love.

UNSURE

Technorati Tags: ,

Never be unsure about anything in your life if God is the centre of your life, all you have to be sure off is that He is in control and He will protect and lead you, all you must do is follow where ever He leads you.

I read someone's status the other day and it read "Greatness is in all of us, we must just learn how to apply it"

It is a very nice thing to say, but what is one implying by saying that. So greatness is in us hmmm, I would state it differently; I would say through Jesus in us there is His greatness and we must just learn to follow Him so we can apply His greatness which is upon us through Grace for not one of us is worthy.

Luke 9:43 MSG
(43)  They all shook their heads in wonder, astonished at God's greatness, God's majestic greatness. While they continued to stand around exclaiming over all the things he was doing, Jesus said to his disciples,

Eph 1:19 AMP

And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable {and} unlimited {and} surpassing greatness of His power in {and} for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,

see it is His greatness not ours, the only greatness we have is what God allows us to have and in fact it is only when we reflect His greatness through unselfish true acts towards others that people can see His greatness.

Xenophobia - Fear or an Excuse?

The definition of the word Xenophobia is - A person unduly fearful or contemptuous of that which is foreign, especially of strangers or foreign peoples.

So we saying the people are excessively fearful of the foreigners? I do not think it is fear. No it is looking for excuses to justify actions which is in a direct result of poverty in our land. And only our current government can take the blame not foreigners.

Whether they are here or not people are still going to lack secure jobs and for the excuse, "no they are steeling our women". Please lets be real, the foreigners are not outnumbering the men staying here in South Africa to such a degree that all the women are going to be stolen now.

So what do I believe God thinks about this and say what we should do;

lets look at Fear when it comes to the Bible:

FEAR:

Lets say these people really are suffering from fear, well is it a sin? Yes I believe it is, here is why I say this:

(Rom 8:15)
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

If you are reborn in Christ you will not have a spirit of fear, but a spirit of adoption, adopting circumstances that sometimes not pleases us, but instead of being fearful of it we put our hearts and eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ.

(2Ti 1:7)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Once again if you are reborn and if you have taken Jesus in your heart and given your whole life over to Him, you can not live in fear, but you will have spirit of power and LOVE and a SOUND MIND. A sound mind and love not to ever resulting in this unacceptable and unnecessary violence.

(1Jn 4:18)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Who is love?

(1Jn 4:8)
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

God is love and if you do not know God you do not know real love, grace, mercy, trust and the divine protection God gives you as a child of Him. So if you you still fear you are not yet made perfect in your walk of life, this is easy to answer see if God is not in your life you have not yet been made perfect in love, because you do not have a relationship with Him.

Now how do you have a relationship with God, well through Jesus Christ.

(Joh 14:6)
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

I believe that God wants us to pray for these people that does not have a relationship with Him and that has not been saved yet. I believe that these people should open their eyes and instead of blaming others for their circumstances rather be truthful towards themselves and realise that Jesus is the only way, truth and life that can save them from their troubles.

"Jesus may you bless these people who are attacking the innocent, as bless the victims and the ones under attack, may Your love reach their hearts and open their eyes, I pray this in Jesus name. Amen."

Smoking o Evil one AKA Cigarettes

Technorati Tags: ,,

Yeah so I have once again come to a point where I realise smoking is a tool the Devil uses to kill us slowly and weaken our spirits.

I know I have stopped twice before and as before I realise there is only one way and that is Jesus. You will not be able to do in your own strength. And do not try to do it your way there is only way and that is to completely surrender it over to God and submit to His loving power.
