Faith

(Heb 11:1 NKJV)  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

What do we have if not our Faith in Jesus and His word? Nothing I tell you, Nothing!

We as people always want proof before we believe, we want the surety of things before we invest in something. But this is not Faith and it wont get you far if you still fall under that earthly disbelief, always wanting proof.

You can not say that you are a reborn Christian through Jesus Christ, but your actions does not support this statement when it also comes to Faith and believing in Him and His word.

If you pray and say, you believe in Him then prove it with your actions. How can we worry then? You can not worry about getting a promotion if you prayed asked and believe and your actions also support this.

It does mean you will get the promotion, but it does mean God is in control knows what is best for you, and His will be done. So regardless of the outcome if you fully rely on Him and believe and have faith the ending is always a good ending cause it is according to your best interest.

Dreams and Their Meanings and the Relation to Jesus Christ

I have noticed there has been allot of Hype recently when it comes to people in the church and their dreams. So what does God say about dreams and their meaning?

Lets look at our first verse:

(Num 12:6 NKJV)  Then He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.

Here you can see one of the ways God made himself known to the prophets. God also says here in Num 12 how He spoke to Moses face to face.

Lets dwell on the word Prophet and what the meaning of Prophet is: prophetes is the Greek word for Prophet (G4396), meaning "one who speaks forth or openly" (see PROPHECY, A), "a proclaimed of a divine message," denoted among the Greeks an interpreter of the oracles of the gods. In the Sept. it is the translation of the word roeh, "a seer"; 1Sa_9:9, indicating that the "prophet" was one who had immediate intercourse with God. It also translates the word nabhi, meaning "either one in whom the message from God springs forth" or "one to whom anything is secretly communicated." Hence, in general, "the prophet" was one upon whom the Spirit of God rested, Num_11:17-29, one, to whom and through whom God speaks, Num_12:2; Amo_3:7, Amo_3:8. In the case of the OT prophets their messages were very largely the proclamation of the divine purposes of salvation and glory to be accomplished in the future; the "prophesying" of the NT "prophets" was both a preaching of the divine counsels of grace already accomplished and the foretelling of the purposes of God in the future.

Clearly being a prophet one has to adhere to some Godly Standards as pointed above. Sure I believe God can communicate through our dreams to us and even give a message that has to be delivered to others, but I do believe those people as He says will be a true prophet, there is a difference for there are many false prophets amongst us these days. In Act_2:17 the Bible says:

(Act 2:17 NKJV)  'AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, SAYS GOD, THAT I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH; YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS.

So anyone that is Spirit Filled may have a vision or a dream, everyone that are open to this, through being saved and that has a true relationship with God and whom God has chosen to receive these visions and or dreams. Does this mean that every dream has a meaning? Sure every dream can have a meaning a physiological one, but is it a vision from God or God communicating with you?

Only truly you and God will know that. No where in the Bible when it spoke about spiritual gifts did it say interpret of dreams, the Bible on refers to Joseph and Daniel having such gift.

In the new testament the Bible only refer to God speaking to his disciples through dreams in Mat and only 6 references and one citation . Jesus never even referred to dreams; (Mat_1:20; Mat_2:12, Mat_2:13, Mat_2:19, Mat_2:22; Mat_27:19). Once a citation (Act_2:17).

Here is a warning when it comes to false prophets and dreams;

(Jer 23:25 NKJV)  "I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed!'

(Jer 23:26 NKJV)  How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,

(Jer 23:27 NKJV)  who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal.

(Jer 23:28 NKJV)  "The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD.

(Jer 23:29 NKJV)  "Is not My word like a fire?" says the LORD, "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

(Jer 23:30 NKJV)  "Therefore behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who steal My words every one from his neighbor.

(Jer 23:31 NKJV)  Behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who use their tongues and say, 'He says.'

(Jer 23:32 NKJV)  Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," says the LORD, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the LORD.

CONCLUSION:

I believe people should stop delving so deep into dreams and other people’s dreams and trying to make sense about it and should focus on God and His word as he states in Jer 23:28 NKJV.

Instead of delving into dreams and their meanings we should do and FOCUS ON!! what God has placed us here to do and that is to get saved and help save others, make more disciples for His glory is eternal, Amen. Share His Love with others and Love Him above all, with all we are (our mind, heart and soul).

1Co 14:19  yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.

The above verse proves that God puts more importance on His word than spiritual gifts.

Preparing For The Long Road Ahead

I believe in all we do we need to plan and prepare, like anything in life nothing that is done without planning and preparation will truly prosper or stick unless when acting on Jesus's guidance He gives us.

Of course one can not plan for every moment or can you? What I mean is if you do not know what is going to happen tomorrow? Well that is the whole thing, you do not have to know what is going to happen tomorrow as long as you know Jesus is always there and as long as you trust in Him

AN ACCIDENT OR A WAKE UP CALL

So there I was driving after being at a house warming. While there testifying and sharing God's love and miracles.

On the way home something happened that I never expected. I lost control over the car and ended up in a ditch braking one of my ribs.

I never understood why it happened until a while after. I felt Jesus was trying to call out to me. To tell me there are things in my life I should very urgently change. I knew what it was.

And only earlier the week my girlfriend's brother past away. The topic of his funeral service was, that we are here to serve other people. That all ready got me thinking...

On the way back from Cape Town to Hermanus me and Natanja was driving on the R43 as we passed Hawston a old Merc suddenly just slam the breaks in front of us and just missed us. We were driving her boss' Golf. Later that same night I took the Chana bakkie to go to the Total garage to get smokes, as I came out of the Total garage on the road that joins up to the main road as a T junction a car turned left but in the one way lane almost hitting me and I tried to use the horn, but it has been broken for a while.

I prayed and thanked God that he protected me and said to Him, I would have to tell my boss that we get the horn fixed.

So one night after gym and Panaroties I was ministering to a friend of mine and while listening to the friend the whole I was leaning on the steering wheel. Later at the end of the discussion all of the sudden there was a load hooting sound and the horn was working again. I started laughing and prayed to God thanking Him.

This all happened before the accident though and funny thing is there was not car in front of me or any reason why I should have used the hooter. And now the hooter is broken again.

So now you ask me what is the whole point to this story...

Well as I see it God told showed me how powerful He is and how quickly He can take something away, and that you must remember everything you are and have is by His grace.

Working Hard For Who and for What?

Why do you work? For survival and for money to survive? For building a family and to live a good life and make the best future for your children.

These are all good reasons to work. But what does God say?

Exodus 20:9 NKJV
(9)  Six days you shall labour and do all your work,

God says from the beginning that we shall work and do our labour and yes on the seventh day we must rest.

If you find yourself working hard everyday and it feels as if you are not getting any recognition or reward for your work, you have the wrong attitude towards the whole idea of working.

We do our work for God to praise him and not to please men.

Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV
(23)  And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
(24)  knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

There for I say even if you might have a unfair boss or you think no one is seeing you or you just a slave. Know that you doing it for Jesus Christ our Lord and He will reward you in His way and His time.

By being patient and keeping on pushing on your actions will prove that you have fruit of The Spirit.

Proverbs 22:29 NKJV
(29)  Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.

Take these words and make it your own and share God's love and remember the money you make is not there for selfish purposes but to help others.

God bless,

Failure Or Opportunity

Is failing at a task really failure or an opportunity?

People would say now; hey um Dewaldt are you ok? Failing is failing my friend what u going on about an opportunity?

Well let me put it this way for you, I wrote my motorcycle learners exam today and I did not pass, after I studied so long and hard from salearners.co.za, only to find afterwards and during the exam they did not have all the roadmarking signs under the theory link.

So now how do I react? All upset en disturbed and negative and saying to myself I have failed? No I do not, I say I did not pass today but here is a perfect opportunity for Jesus to intervene and take this whole situation and turn it into something victorious.

God knows why I did not pass and so what if I didn't.

(Romans 8:28 NKJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

All things work for good, does not mean happy ending, God know what He is doing and this is where trust comes in. Paul rejoiced even while he was in jail and he did not let his circumstances get him down, cause he knew as do I that nothing can capture my spirit from being free through the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord.

So here is an opportunity for God to turn the whole thing around let me write again and people looking at me and seeing that my actions stay positive and full of happiness are asking themselves why is this guy happy, and there is the perfect opportunity for God to get all glory again by my testimony through my actions and words just praising God even in moment of not failure but opportunity for His working grace and love.
